Burnt Island Light is the second oldest surviving lighthouse in Maine and is the most visible lighthouse near Boothbay Harbor. Built in 1821, its red light is visible for 12 miles, and its foghorn can be heard throughout the harbor. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
Hi! and thank you for visiting. I live in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina and specialize in landscape photography. I love to roam Southern gardens, plantations and parks and photograph their beauty. My passion is creating unique images that inspire others, and my work has been both awarded and published. So, take a few moments to browse and hopefully, one of my images will speak specifically to you. Blessings!
