A sunburst peeks around the top of The Hunting Island Lighthouse located at Hunting Island State Park near Beaufort, South Carolina. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, it is no longer a working lighthouse but is a welcoming beacon at the state park and is open to visitors who can climb its 167 steps to the top.
